Supporting you through all stages of your lactation journey

In home, virtual and text support available, offering solutions and support for a range of lactation and infant feeding concerns.

Feeding your infant can be a challenge, I know because I was there too. A sore body, profound exhaustion, and little support can leave you feeling alone and helpless. I can help you define your feeding goals, meet them fearlessly, and enjoy the journey.

Hi. I'm Britt Holton, IBCLC, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, in Hamilton, Ontario.
Breastfeeding, Chestfeeding, Bodyfeeding, bottle feeding, transitioning to solids, and weaning all present unique challenges to parents and infants. My goal is to support your family as you find what works best for each of you at that moment in time.
I experienced difficulties with both of my children. From being told I had flat nipples (nope!), that my baby had a tongue tie (yep!), that my baby was loosing weight (yikes!) and that I had no milk (but wait, where’d it go?), I needed a constant support person who would guide me through the challenges, celebrate the wins, and encourage me to keep going.

Your journey is yours only, I’m here to support you along the way.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

  • Brit was an amazing support with my first born. Her care is kind and compassionate. She made me feel so comfortable and cared for during a stressful time.

    -Megan H.

  • “I needed help with weaning, Britt offered me supporting assistance that took my own emotional needs into account as well as those of my toddler.”

    -Leslie D.

  • As a new mother, trying to breastfeed came with hurdles and stress. Cue, Brittney who came to my home with her big smile and her supportive words. She helped me to learn new feeding positions, advised me on what bottles and soothers to use to compliment breastfeeding and was respectful of my worries and frustrations. Thank you, Britt.

    -Aisha B.

  • I had the pleasure of receiving help from Brittney during a time I was going through stress and not understanding why my baby was experiencing green/mucous stool. I reached out for help, and Brittney responded simply by offering her expertise. She took the time to listen to my concerns as a new mom (I was overwhelmed, a hot mess to be honest). She gave me her professional feedback on what could be causing this type of reaction and what I can do with my breastfeeding routine to help my baby. To my pleasant surprise after I had followed her guidance on block feeding, my little girl wasn't having green-gassy stool. Both mama and baby were relived. I couldn't thank Brittney enough for reaching out, to a new mom who desperately needed the help. Grateful to have had Brittney's help while I was navigating all things breastfeeding. Definitely a lactation consultant I will keep going to for any of my lactation needs. Thank you, Brittney!
